BOARD OF DIRECTORS UPDATE
SCOTT NICE, VICE PRESIDENT
The Board of Directors held its mid-winter meeting earlier this month in Orlando, Florida. As a long-time member of the Board, I am continually amazed, and encouraged, by what our God is doing in and through our servant leaders. I was greatly encouraged by the staff reports, Regional Ministers, and business of the Conference.
The conversation and decisions were driven by the convictions and Guiding Values of the CCCC. We worked together for the ultimate good of the Conference with a desire to bring glory to God. I am confident that the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit directed decisions that will ultimately affect the future of our Annual Gatherings, funding our three ministry Priorities (Church Development, Church Multiplication and Conference Care), as well as our ability to address the contemporary cultural challenges of ministry in our day and age. What a joy and what a privilege it is to be a part of God’s grand building project, we call the Church of Jesus Christ, in the greater CCCC family.
Newer Board Members commented about our time together. Mutima Peter said, “It was a very positive experience that I thoroughly enjoyed!” David McKinley added, “I appreciated the opportunity to have congenial, constructive, and cooperate conversations with my fellow CCCC brothers and sisters.”
I believe that I speak on the behalf of the entire board, when I say, we are grateful for you, we are encouraged in what the Lord is doing throughout the ministry of the CCCC, and we are excited to see what is next!
