Mid-Winter Board Meeting Held Online

ALVIN HELMS, CCCC PRESIDENT

The Board of Directors met on February 9-10 via ZOOM. One of the most urgent decisions was related to the 2021 Annual Gathering planned for July in Rhode Island. The Board spent hours in two different meetings praying, discussing, and looking at research provided by the Annual Gathering Committee. After much prayer, debate, and consultation with other leaders within and outside the CCCC, the Board made the decision to not hold an in-person meeting this summer.

The Board considered many logistical matters such as state quarantine guidelines, liability,  travel limitations, and current meeting capacity guidance by the state of Rhode Island.  While these are important issues, the Board was mainly concerned about making a decision that considered the health and well-being of our Conference members. So, out an abundance of caution we made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person meeting and plan a virtual business meeting similar to last year.  Please save the dates of July 19 – 21 as we will work to plan our virtual event(s) in that time frame.

We are so thankful to each one of you for your devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and our Conference.  The CCCC is a wonderful place to minister and share life together.  We appreciate your flexibility and support.  We are all faced with the changes that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought our way.  Please pray for everyone who is working to develop a virtual business meeting and other resources.

Your grace and patience are needed now more than ever.
