Tim & Chris Gilmore, with two of their children: Braden and Tirzah
CCCC international workers working with a team to translate the Bible into eight languages of Tanzania
Excerpt from the Gilmore’s Oct 2016 newsletter:
It’s been about 10 weeks since our return to the USA and already so much has happened. We are operating mostly out of MN and will be here through Christmas.
Being back in the States doesn’t mean work stops for us. Tim continues to work as the Translation Advisor for the Zinza Team. It’s fantastic the way technology aids so work doesn’t skip a beat. The team is currently working on translating I, II, & III John in addition to finalizing the script of The Jesus Film. On the weekends we are often speaking at various churches in the area and are encouraged as we keep people updated on what’s happening with our work in Tanzania.
The primary reason we came back to the States when we did was to get the second of our three children, Tizrah off to Hope College in Holland, MN. School’s been in session about 8 weeks now and we are getting great reports from her. Freshman year can be fun, but it’s also filled with a lot of transition and stress. We’re glad to be “just” a ten-hour drive away and we have been pleased to discover we already know many people in the area around Holland. It will be a blessing to have those connections for Tizrah when we return to the field.
Additionally we have enjoyed joyful times as our family united with our oldest son who has been here attending college, celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of Chris’ parents, and visited with other extended family members.
Thank you for caring for us, partnering with us, and praying for us as we reach out to people in Tanzania!
