Our Three Priorities

The ministry of our Conference is centered on three priorities: church development, church multiplication, and conference care.  These are driven by our passion to “live in obedience to Jesus as we love God, love others, and, as we go, make disciples” and lived out in our Seven Guiding Values.

These priorities are driven by our conviction that the church has a vital place in God’s Kingdom plans. Paul’s teaching in Ephesians 3:20-21 makes this clear.

 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

God’s plan of salvation is carried out in Jesus’ name through the church.  We cannot underestimate this because He promises to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” through the ministry of the church.

We prioritize church development because God wants the church to thrive.  We strengthen existing churches and help them do effective ministry for God’s Kingdom by living out The CCCC Way of Life including The Irreducible Core and our Seven Guiding Values.

We prioritize church multiplication because we need churches that can reach this generation with the message of the Gospel.  We are working to launch a church multiplication movement to start new, healthy, disciple-making congregations across the nation. We provide assessment, training, resources, and ongoing coaching to church planting pastors and their growing congregations.

We prioritize conference care because our member pastors need encouragement to guide the ministry of the church.  We train church leaders how to deal with conflict, so the peace of Christ is evident in the ministry of the local church.  We assist with pastoral transition, so our member churches remain effective in times of change.

The entire ministry of the CCCC is focused on these priorities.  Our ministry staff and conference leaders are equipped to carry these out and equip pastors and church leaders for effective ministry in this generation.  We pray for God’s power to work through our member churches in special ways that only He can imagine.
