Successful NCD Training Event in Orlando

The second coach training for the CCCC directed development process in our new Turning Point Initiative was completed December 4 & 5 in Orlando, Florida. Using the Natural Church Development (NCD) assessment, 18 CCCC pastors from around the country gathered to learn from NCD America’s Dr. Petr Činčala along with Ron Hamilton and myself.

NCD is now in it’s third generation as a church assessment tool. This newest iteration is even more valuable than previous versions, with far more detailed reports and the ability to drill down to the results of individual survey questions. NCD now measures tendencies against its three colors (representing the Persons of our Triune God) and 24 important themes of life and ministry, in addition to the original eight quality characteristics of church health.

Each of our trainees is now putting their learning into practice in their respective churches. They will then be coached by members of the CCCC Church Development Team to begin helping other congregations entering our Turning Point process. We have 30 trained directed development coaches in addition to the members of our Church Development Team!
